Job Title: Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using Java and PHP.

  • Design and implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop new features.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.

  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.

  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, testing, and deployment.

  • Continuously research and adopt new technologies and frameworks to improve development processes.

  • Need to work closely with China HQ IT team on system development, deployment coordination, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

 

Requirements:

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java (Spring/Spring Boot) and PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter, or other frameworks).

  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and RESTful services.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or jQuery) is a plus.

  • Familiar with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.

  • Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).

  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, and XML.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 1+ years of hands-on development experience with Java and PHP.

  • Proficiency in English (Mandarin is an added advantage) to facilitate smooth communication across regions.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
